Precisely Expands its Location-Intelligence Reach with the Snowflake Marketplace

Data analytics player Precisely has launched its software on the Snowflake Marketplace, making it more accessible to marketers and operators throughout the land. For those unfamiliar, Snowflake Marketplace is a one-stop platform that offers access to a range of AI-driven Saas apps.

More specifically, Precisely’s location intelligence and data enrichment capabilities will now be available to Snowflake AI Data Cloud Customers, natively in their existing software environment. They’ll be able to access Precicely’s verified and geocoded place database to better understand people and places.

By that, we mean that it’s all about understanding business locations and the people who visit them. The former includes knowing where a given business or brand has locations and where its competitors are (think: geo-conquesting). And the latter is about audience profiles and their physical movements.

“This announcement brings significant value to SMBs leveraging the Snowflake AI Data Cloud,” Precisely SVP of Location Intelligence Clarence Hempfield told Localogy Insider. “Precisely delivers a seamless user experience that enhances address data quality and links cleansed addresses to curated datasets. This enables businesses to gain deeper insights—such as the number of floors in a building, potential risks at a location, or neighborhood demographics.”

Data & Demographics

Drilling down into specific features, Precisely tells Localogy Insider that Snowflake AI Data Cloud Customers who utilize the Precicely native app will be able to access:

Precisely Geo Addressing for Snowflake: Standardize, cleanse, and geocode addresses with precision. It includes reliable autocomplete functionality, address verification right down to the apartment or suite level, and simplifies data enrichment by providing the ability to accurately connect datasets via the PreciselyID.

Precisely Data Graph for Snowflake: Easy access to the comprehensive Precisely data portfolio, including addresses, properties, businesses, natural hazards, boundaries, demographics, and more. It offers flexible query capabilities, robust data enrichment, and improved data discovery
– all through a single API.

Precisely Risk Data: A comprehensive collection of datasets offering unparalleled insight into risk factors, including wildfire and property fire risk, flood and coastal risks, and earthquake propensity, as well as data to analyze crime risk and safety.

Precisely Demographics: Detailed demographic insights to help businesses understand customer types, preferences, and shifts in local and global population trends that are updated frequently to ensure accuracy and freshness.

Precisely to Acquire Place IQ

Planning & Presence

Altogether, this is valuable for SMBs and brand marketers to determine where and to whom to target marketing. For example, data could indicate that a given brand has sa trong physical presence in a specific region, but under-indexes in brand awareness. That can inform geotargeted marketing.

And it goes beyond marketing. Geolocation data can reveal opportunities to expand locations based on where a brand has high affinity but low presence. Other use cases include everything from optimizing delivery routes to sales territories. Much of this flows from Precicely’s 2022 acquisition of PlaceIQ.

Back to the Snowflake integration, one advantage is for joint customers to do all of the above in a cloud-synced way, without moving their data. This caries a considerable convenience factor in terms of one-stop shop appeal, especially given the volume and extensivity often inherent in geospatial data.

“High-integrity location data is fundamental to operations across industries, from customer relationship management to logistics,” said Hempfield. “With Precisely, Snowflake users can trust their data to uncover trends, optimize delivery routes, and personalize customer experiences with confidence.”

Street Fight Live: AI Collides with the Creator Economy

One of the many things being disrupted by AI is the creator economy. And like other sectors vulnerable to that disruption and displacement, the high-level advice is to stop complaining and lean into it. It’s coming either way, so creators – and marketers that utilize them – should figure out ways to leverage it.

Searchable Store Aisles: Linking AI to the Physical World

We continue to observe an uptick in companies that are bringing a cocktail of AI-based technologies — machine learning, computer vision, etc. — to physical retail. The thought is that store aisles can be searchable and stores themselves can be smarter, optimizing product placement and real-time inventory.
