5 Common SMB Marketing Questions & Concerns

As the local economy continues to improve and Internet usage keeps climbing, digital marketing for SMBs has become a necessity. However, ad and media sales reps are being challenged by a misalignment between the amount SMBs spend on marketing and the expectations they have for those efforts.

Many in the SMB space are using education as a way to overcome this. In addition to webinars, blog posts and other free resources, simply answering the common questions SMBs have is an opportunity for reps to better educate these clients and set realistic expectations.

During last week’s webinar, leaders at Marquette Group provided some insight into what they are hearing from SMBs. Working on the front line directly with SMBs each day, Chris Malone, VP of agency partnerships and sales strategy, and Gary Richmond, VP of digital strategy and client services, shared the top digital marketing concerns they get from clients.

Here are the five SMB questions they explored:

  1. How do I get listed in the first position on Google?
  2. Where should I spend my marketing budget?
  3. Why can’t I see my ad when I search for it?
  4. Yeah, but how many calls will this bring me?
  5. Why do I need a local landing page if I already have a website?
