Scorpion, Jobber Add Google Local Service Ads Booking Tool

Many see Google’s Local Service Ads as a game-changer in local. One key reason is the extra layer of trust they provide to consumers.

This is because local pros must qualify for the Google Guaranteed program before they can run LSAs. The program requires service pros to go through a background check, which results in Google guaranteeing performance gup to $2,000. Another is that LSAs are a pay-per-lead model, which makes LSAs an affordable alternative to pay-per-click for local services pros.

LSAs also rank based on reviews and proximity, which is great for consumers. It also rewards service pros for delivering a quality customer experience.

Two companies steeped in the local and home services space announced integration deals with Google involving a new booking solution tied to Local Services Ads. This new feature will likely help local services pros convert more leads. And it’s another sign of how Google is increasingly processing transactions without the consumer ever leaving its environment.

The digital marketing platform Scorpion announced last week it will be the first full-service agency to offer Google’s Local Services Ads booking feature. This tool allows guaranteed service pros the option to offer appointment booking to their customers. The feature is powered by Reserve with Google.

New Scorpion CEO Talks Retention, Growth and Silicon Slopes

“Everything we do at Scorpion is focused on keeping our local business customers at the forefront of digital marketing trends so they can maintain their competitive edge and generate new and repeat customers,” said Mikel Chertudi, Chief Revenue Officer at Scorpion. “This strategic partnership showcases our dedication to making that happen. And we are excited to provide our customers with new capabilities that positively impact their bottom line and the communities they serve.”

Jobber Rolls Out Similar Integration

In May, business management platform Jobber also made a deal with Google involving the scheduling tool. Here is how Jobber summarizes the deal.

By integrating with Google’s Local Services Ads, Jobber customers, including HVAC technicians, residential cleaners, landscapers, and plumbers, can better attract new local customers searching for services in their area. Service providers only pay if a customer books a job through the ad.

Jobber is like a super app for services pros. The company’s platform offers messaging, payments, project management, CRM, route optimization, and more. Two partners with very different backgrounds launched Jobber in 2011. One founder was a software developer. The other a painter. I can’t imagine a better combination for building a product that addresses real pain points for service providers.

“A lot of small business owners are on the road most of the day and can’t respond to new leads quickly, resulting in lost revenue and a bad experience for customers,” said Jobber’s Co-founder and CEO Sam Pillar.

“By integrating with Google’s Local Services Ads, Jobber users won’t have to worry about bottlenecking the booking process and missing out on high-quality leads. Instead, new jobs can be automatically booked right into their calendars. The integration also makes the booking process easier and more modern for homeowners, so they can book services with confidence.”
