GoDaddy’s GoCentral Platform Allows SMBs to Create, Claim Yelp Listings

GoDaddy, the world’s largest website domain name registrar, has made it easier for small businesses to create, claim and manage their online Yelp listings, as well as monitor their reviews, by announcing an integration with the review site through its GoCentral platform.

The partnership comes at a time where nearly 9 out of 10 consumers are reading reviews for local businesses prior to making a purchase, and 84% admit to trusting online reviews as much as a personal recommendation.

According to GoDaddy’s Senior Product Manager, Alisa Neymark, “Consumers are increasingly turning to online reviews to discover local businesses,” she said. “Enabling business owners to create and claim their Yelp business listings from within the GoCentral platform is an efficient and powerful way to foster increased brand loyalty and help attract new customers.”

The integration is intended to help SMBs save time and focus on their business by simplifying the process of managing an online profile. Users can read their business’s reviews and monitor their listing’s performance on the GoCentral dashboard.

Utilizing a business’s information from their website, GoCentral will create a business listing and submit it to Yelp. Once claimed, the GoCentral dashboard will highlight key insights regarding said listing, as well as any new reviews that come through, allowing businesses to respond in a timely fashion.

Early implementation of the tool from an auto repair shop in Texas showed the business receiving over 70 leads, including quote requests, via Yelp. In total, around 1,300 businesses have set up their Yelp listing through GoCentral.

The Yelp integration is currently available for US GoCentral customers on the Business Plus and Online Store plans. For more information, visit https://www.godaddy.com/garage/gocentral-yelp-business-listing-feature/.

Small business owners are continuing to take on more and more roles when it comes to operating their businesses, leaving them with less time to interact with customers and build relationships. It’s more important than ever for companies to help develop products and software (much like this integration) that help meet this SMB owner’s needs to get them back on the frontlines and doing what they love.

At our upcoming LOCALOGY ENGAGE conference in Washington, D.C., we will feature a session, “What Do Your Customers Want?” that will discuss the best tools and tactics companies can use for winning their SMB customers over, maintaining their loyalty and earning their repeat business.
