The new tool is part of Thryv’s overall emphasis on Google integrations. Within the last two years,Thryv has grown from 1,000 to more than 30,000 GMB connected businesses among its customers.

Some other key Google-Thryv integrations include Reserve with Google, a centralized GMB dashboard, Google Review management, Gmail, and more. Thryv is a Google My Businesses

“Google continues to serve as the front door for many growing small businesses,” Thryv’s VP of Product & Marketing Ryan Cantor told Localogy Insider. “As the Google My Business product has grown tremendously in terms of both capability and reach in recent years, the power and control has remained elusive to a majority of small business owners. Our GMB optimization product is the next logical step for the Thryv platform to ensure all SMBs have easy access and the help they need to maximize their Google My Business profile.”

The Optimizer’s purpose is to help SMBs increase engagement, improve local ranking and, ultimately, drive more conversion.

It does this through a number of features. These include resolution of listings claiming, direct verification of listings, performance analytics, and support from Thryv’s GMB service team. It also offers a “multi-point optimization” program. This helps sharpen specific elements of a GMB profile that drive success. This includes images, business details like description and hours of operation, and much more.

Real World Results

Thryv cites one customer example to illustrate how the new GMB tool works. After using the tool for 30 days, Indianapolis-based AC Trash Hauling and More, saw a 43 percent rise in direction requests. It also saw a 22 percent rise in phone calls, 9 percent more Google search visits, and 11 percent more total searches.

“It’s not who you know, but who knows you,” says Andy Corman, owner of AC Trash Hauling and More. “Anything that I can do to increase my exposure online, I’m going to do it. I have noticed an increase in clients saying they found me on Google. As long as that is working, that is all I care about.”
