As the holiday season kicks off, enterprises have a chance to demonstrate the virtue signals that they make throughout the rest of the year… some more than others. Chatmeter is one such company to put its money where its mouth is, pledging $30,000 to philanthropic purposes in its home city of San Diego.

These recipients include Rady Children’s Hospital, an institution focused on pediatric healthcare; the San Diego Rescue Mission an organization dedicated to providing housing and job training for people in need; and San Diego Humane Society, which dedicates its efforts to animal welfare.

“Chatmeter is humbled to show our dedication to San Diego with these recent donations,” Chatmeter CEO John Mazur told Localogy. “We commend Rady Children’s Hospital, San Diego Rescue Mission, and San Diego Humane Society for their outstanding service to the community, and we look forward to supporting their efforts in the future.”

Sustained & Genuine

Panning back, these gestures are just the latest in the Chatmeter Gives Back program which, demonstrates a sustained and genuine commitment to giving, rather than empty gestures. The program makes specific donations, in addition to sponsoring the direct efforts of its employees.

For the latter, Chatmeter encourages its 140 employees to donate, volunteer, or take action in other ways with their favorite charities. Recent examples include volunteer work at the Salvation Army Kroc Center of San Diego, as well as $1,000 worth of donations and boxing up two weeks’ worth of food.

This multi-faceted giving approach puts Chatmeter up there with the likes of Salesforce, which likewise donates directly in addition to support and incentives for employees to contribute to causes they care about. Meanwhile, there’s tangible impact this holiday season for three thankful recipients in San Diego.

“This donation is not just financial support; it’s a powerful statement about a commitment to making our local community a better place for everyone, including animals,” said SD Humane Society EVP Brian Daugherty. “We are grateful for their partnership in our mission to create a more humane world.”
