Growthware Elevates its Board with Luis Baptista-Coelho

Emerging SaaS player Growthware has announced that it appointed seasoned software exec Luis Baptista-Coelho to its board of directors. With a specialty in scaling software platforms, Baptista-Coelho recently held the post of Yext EVP, where he led international expansion through high-growth periods.

“We are thrilled to welcome Luis to the Board,” Growthware board secretary James Ward told Localogy Insider. “His experience, expertise, and enthusiasm are second to none, and we could not be more confident that he will be a key part of Growthware’s success.”

How Do SMBs Benefit Most from SaaS?

Gamifying Growth

As for Growthware, the company brings new meaning to growth hacking. It has standardized tactics for business growth, and packaged it into software that serves small businesses and multi-location brands. As co-founder & CEO Randall Turner puts it,” Growthware gamifies the journey of growth.”

This involves a holistic approach that transcends the point solutions often sold to local businesses. The company endeavors to be more of an AI-driven diagnostics system for businesses, propelling milestone achievements through benchmarking and optimizing interrelated business functions accordingly.

One of the founding principles behind this approach is to be growth-oriented versus tool-focused. Put another way, a growth-first strategy quantifies milestones and tactics to incentivize growth by several means. This contrasts narrow tool-based approaches that are often solutions in search of problems.

Why Aren’t SMBs Getting the Most out of SaaS?

Perspective & Pedigree

So how do these two entities – Growthware and Baptista-Coelho – fit together? In Growthware’s global growth trajectory, Baptista Coelho will bring his fire-tested perspective on SMB variances across global markets. This will offer an edge in the company’s ability to deliver value in each market.

Beyond Baptista-Coelho’s achievements at Yext, he has studied at ESCP (Paris-Oxford-Berlin), Harvard, Columbia, and IMD (Lausanne). He currently serves as the President and Chief Revenue Officer of AI advertising platform Leadzai and occupies board seats at Leadzai and Futura Gaïa.

Altogether, Baptista-Cohelo’s board appointment itself lives up to another Turnerism at the heart of Growthware’s founding principles: “Excellence loves company.”

“We’re already seeing what an outstanding addition to the team he is,” said Ward, “both internally and with clients, and that’s something we expect will continue in the coming years.”
