Chatmeter Rethinks Customer Surveys

Chatmeter Embracing AI-based Risk Monitoring Localogy

Chatmeter has launched a new product to synthesize structured and unstructured data to inform and empower local businesses with better customer knowledge. Known as Surveys, it lets businesses create their own branded surveys and gain access to customer insights to guide business decisions.

The wizard-like process guides businesses through survey creation in intuitive ways. The end result is slick surveys that carry best practices, such as increasing participation rates. That last part is key in terms of getting sample sizes that confer confidence in the reliability of customer feedback.

“It’s time to reimagine brand intelligence,” Chatmeter GTM president Cynthia Sener told Localogy Insider. “We believe the best way to do that is through deep listening[…] “We’re talking about accessing both unstructured and structured data to extract the incredible gems of insight that too often go unheeded.”

Chatmeter Spotlights Local Marketing Best Practices

Simplicity and Choice

So what does this look like specifically? As noted, it’s designed with a user-friendly interface to guide businesses through the survey-building process. It also includes ample design and format choices to fit a wide range of tastes and goals. Striking this balance of simplicity and choice was the name of the game.

To achieve that end, the Surveys product includes (verbatim from Chatmeter):

  • A menu of more than 20 question formats to ensure quality, meaningful feedback
  • Multiple-page functionality for an optimal participant experience
  • Unlimited questions, allowing brands flexibility based on specific needs
  • Intuitive drag-and-drop interface allowing businesses to effortlessly create surveys, maximizing data collection and analysis
  • Integrates directly with existing data in the Chatmeter platform, including review data and social metrics, providing clients with a comprehensive 360-degree view
  • Allows distribution from various sources, including SMS, email, and direct URL links

Chatmeter Enhances Its AI-Powered Tools to Elevate Brand Intelligence

Important but Onerous

The Surveys product launch also contains a key term: AI. There are levels of intelligence baked into the product, some flowing from AI’s existing integration with Chatmeter products. For example, it uses natural language processing to derive sentiment analysis and get a better view of customer experiences.

Chatmeter has also integrated generative AI to aid local businesses in the important but onerous task of responding to customer reviews. The key (like the delicate balance noted above) was to integrate AI in ways that bring the value of automation, while preserving the human component of local businesses.

“Our platform has integrated Natural Language Processing for years and we recently introduced new generative AI functionality to capture unstructured data,” said Senner. “But with our re-imagined Surveys solution, now customers can test and compare insights to achieve a 360° view of their customers’ experience. Surveys is all about closing the intelligence loop to help brands discover what matters most to their customers.”
