Bloomreach Content Enables AI Text Generation on E-Commerce Sites

Need more proof that generative AI is taking over the martech space? The latest evidence comes from Bloomreach, an  e-commerce platform that works with national retail brands like Benefit Cosmetics, Albertson’s, and Total Wine.

Bloomreach is integrating OpenAI with its headless content management solution (CMS), Bloomreach Content, so brand marketers can create personalized content for their e-commerce websites more quickly and at a greater scale.

“With ChatGPT helping to power text generation, users can now create, manage, and personalize site content faster — and at a greater scale,” said Bloomreach Chief Product Officer Anirban Bardalaye. “That will have an incredible impact on the commerce experience they create for their customers.”

Integrating OpenAI into Bloomreach Content means businesses using the Bloomreach Content marketplace will now be able to use OpenAI’s ChatGPT Text Generator, an AI-powered writing assistant, to create text and generate ideas for their e-commerce websites. They’ll also be able to generate product descriptions at scale, minimizing the need for manual data entry or content creation, and they’ll be able to automate the process of proofreading content across their digital channels.

The integration will aid in brands’ personalization efforts, giving marketers a way to use data from their CMS to tailor content for individual customers and reduce user workloads while maintaining the voice of the brand throughout their online content.

“We’ve seen how powerful AI has been for business users across each of our product pillars, so we’re thrilled to offer this seamless way for Bloomreach Content users to incorporate more AI into their platform,” said Bardalaye.

Martech Embraces Generative AI

Throughout the martech space, firms are embracing generative AI and finding creative ways to integrate the technology into their cloud-based solutions.

Just last month, the brand intelligence and reputation management company Chatmeter announced that it’s delivering on customer demand by beefing up its sentiment analysis tool, Pulse, with more AI and natural language processing (NLP) capabilities. Sitecore, a digital customer experience software provider powered by Microsoft Azure, announced that it’s integrating ChatGPT across its composable software solutions. Even Google Ads is getting into the mix with generative AI, announcing that advertisers will soon be able to use AI to create ads by remixing creative content like images, videos, and text.

It’s clear that Bloomreach won’t be the last digital marketing firm to integrate generative AI. We’ll keep a close eye on this space and continue reporting on all the ways brands are using tools like ChatGPT and Google’s Bard to improve their business processes and generate greater ROI from their digital marketing efforts.
