Vendasta Becomes GMB Featured Partner

Vendasta announced today that Google has named it a Google My Business Featured Partner.

Vendasta says the status was earned by accurately and efficiently claiming Google My Business listings. The GMB claiming service is part of Vendasta’s marketing solution for digital agencies.

Of course, GMB claiming is an important service for agencies to provide for SMBs. According to Vendasta, a well-maintained GMB listing generates five times the traffic of a listing that hasn’t been claimed.

“We like to say that Vendasta is at the intersection of trust, technology, and need. And this is a prime example of how we provide that type of value to the partners we represent,” Vendasta’s GM of Marketing Services Troy Wruck told Localogy Insider.

“By extension of our relationship with Google, our partners and their customers benefit sooner. As we are extremely efficient at the process of claiming their GMB listings, a keystone of every SMB’s digital strategy that boosts their online presence.”

In addition to an eCommerce platform, Vendasta has a marketing team that helps fulfill GMB claiming on behalf of many of its partners. Vendasta says this decision to offer fulfillment on top of its platform contributed to its inclusion in the Featured Partner program. All of this is done on a white-label basis.

What is the Partner Program?

The GMB Featured Partner program is essentially a directory of trusted GMB partners. Other familiar names on the list include Brandify, Hibu, Hootsuite, Thryv, Uberall, Yext, Zoho, and many others.

Not surprisingly, Google keeps its selection criteria for the program a secret. So here is what it does say publicly about it.

“The Google My Business Featured Partners Program highlights partners who provide valuable services to the broader Google My Business merchant community…While we can’t reveal specific criteria, our team evaluates various factors when considering a Google My Business Featured Partner. We monitor all Featured Partners on an ongoing basis to make sure they maintain a high level of quality. Failure to uphold specific terms can result in removal from the Featured Partners Program and all marketing materials.”
