Replay: Yelp for Agencies — What You Need to Know

Online reviews continue to be a significant component for many consumers when deciding where to purchase goods and services. Yelp, the popular ratings and review platform that sees an average of 100 million monthly viewers, aims to connect these consumers with the best local businesses in their area, while helping them make informed decisions.

The platform’s reach extends across many categories, including shopping, restaurants, home and local services, beauty and fitness and more.

During a recent webinar, John Carroll and Melanie Ricotta of Yelp explained the role of online reviews in the purchase process, as well as how Yelp works with agencies to help them utilize and succeed on the platform.

According to the presentation, agencies should set goals for customer service excellence by identifying trends and themes across their reviews. They should then develop a strategy for dealing with customer feedback, both positive and negative.

Earlier this year, the company launched its Yelp Ads Certified Partner program, which offers agencies personalized support, campaign tools and profile enhancements. To increase the chances of campaign success, YACP agencies offer assistance in the following areas:

  • Claiming listings
  • A centralized dashboard for managing multiple client campaigns at once
  • Customization of ads
  • Reporting and insights
  • Continued education
  • Identifying trends in a specific market
